1. Our Core Principle

YourAI Zero is built on a simple promise: your data stays on your computer. The desktop application runs entirely offline and locally. No conversations, memories, characters, AI-generated content, documents, or personal data are ever sent to our servers or any third party during normal use of the Software.

2. Use of Artificial Intelligence

YourAI Zero uses AI models that run locally on your device:

• All AI inference (text generation, speech-to-text, text-to-speech) happens on your machine. No prompts, conversations, or outputs are sent to any cloud service.
• AI models are delivered through curated Profile Packs. These models are uncensored and do not have built-in content filters.
• The Memory OS stores character memories, user memories, and conversation history locally on your device. We never access it.
• We do not use your conversations, memories, or any locally-generated content to train AI models.
• AI characters are simulated entities and do not have consciousness or real-world identity.

3. What We Collect

We only collect the minimum data required to process your purchase and manage your license:

• Name and email address — provided during checkout via Stripe, used to deliver your license key and purchase receipt.
• Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details, bank account numbers, or payment credentials.
• Machine fingerprint hash — a one-way SHA-256 hash of device hardware identifiers, used solely to manage license activations and prevent unauthorised use. We cannot identify your machine, extract hardware details, or reverse this hash.
• App version — sent during license activation and update checks so we can return the correct download.
• License key and activation records — stored in our database to enforce the 3-device activation limit and allow you to manage your activations.

4. What We Do NOT Collect

• Conversations, chat messages, or AI-generated content
• AI companion memories, character data, or relationship history
• Documents you index or create locally
• Voice recordings, transcriptions, or speech data
• Browsing history, keystrokes, or screen content
• Usage analytics, telemetry, or behavioural tracking
• IP addresses (we do not log them)
• Location data or geolocation information

5. How We Use Your Data

• To deliver your license key and purchase receipt via email
• To validate license activations and enforce the 3-device limit
• To provide update notifications when new versions are available
• To respond to support requests you initiate

We do not sell, share, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone for any purpose. We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, profiling, or AI model training.

6. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom, we process your data under the following legal bases:

• Contract performance — processing your purchase, delivering your license key, and managing activations
• Legitimate interest — protecting against licence fraud and providing software updates

7. Third-Party Services

This website uses the following third-party services for purchase processing only:

• Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy. We never receive or store your payment card details.
• Supabase — database hosting for license records. Stored with row-level security policies. Contains only license and activation data, never user content.
• Resend — transactional email delivery for purchase receipts only.
• Vercel— website hosting. Does not have access to the desktop application's local data.

The desktop application itself does not connect to any third-party services during normal offline operation. The only network requests are the optional license activation check and update check, both of which connect to our own server (youraizero.com).

8. Data Retention

License records are retained for as long as your license is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal information (name, email) from our systems within 30 days. Your license key and activation records will be anonymised. Payment records held by Stripe are subject to Stripe's own retention policy and legal requirements.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate personal data
• Deletion — request deletion of your personal data
• Data portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection — object to processing of your personal data
• Restriction — request restriction of processing
• Opt-out of sale — we do not sell personal data, but you may exercise this right under CCPA regardless

10. Children's Privacy

YourAI Zero is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from someone under 18, we will delete it promptly.

11. Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. Stripe may set functional cookies during the checkout process which are strictly necessary for payment processing. No cookie consent banner is required because we do not use optional cookies.

12. International Data Transfers

Our servers are hosted by Vercel and Supabase, which may process data in regions outside your country of residence. These providers maintain appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA/UK.

13. Security

We protect your data using industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security in our database, RSA-SHA256 cryptographic signatures for license payloads, and Stripe's PCI-compliant payment processing. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
