Your conversations, memories, characters, documents, and settings all stay on your computer. Nothing is ever sent to our servers or any third party. You have full control to export, back up, or delete everything.

What hardware do I need?

YourAI Zero detects your available RAM, GPU, and disk space, then recommends one of four AI Packs: Light for entry-level or CPU-first systems, Standard for typical modern PCs, Enhanced for high-end desktops, and Workstation for powerful professional hardware. The recommendation is advisory, and you can choose a different pack. CPU-only operation is supported, although responses will be slower.

How many devices can I use my license on?

Each license key activates on up to 3 devices. If you reinstall or reset your OS on the same machine, the existing activation is reused — it does not count as a new device.

Yes. With a vision-capable AI Pack, you can attach JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, or BMP images to a conversation and ask questions about them. Image analysis runs locally on your computer and remains available in Strict Offline mode.

Projects give long-running work a persistent home. You can organize goals, decisions, open questions, next steps, conversations, documents, memories, and assigned agents. Agents assigned to the active project receive its relevant working context automatically; companion characters do not.

Can agents create, edit, or rename my documents?

Yes, within the document access you grant. Agents can create text documents and propose edits or renames, but they cannot silently change an original file. You review and confirm every change first, approved edits create a backup, and renames cannot overwrite another file, change the file type, or move the document to a different folder.

What information goes online when web research is enabled?

Web research is available only in Online mode and only for agents you authorize. The search query or page URL needed for the request is sent to your configured provider — DuckDuckGo, SearXNG, or Brave Search — and retrieved pages are returned with source links. Your local AI inference, memories, conversation history, and document library remain on your computer.

Absolutely. Create as many characters as you want, each with their own personality, voice, appearance, and memories. Characters develop their own continuity over time — they remember your conversations, form preferences, and build a genuine relationship with you.

Yes. Each character tracks relationship history through private memory. Over time they move through continuity stages — from newly awakened and curious, to settling in, to deeply established. They remember shared jokes, projects, preferences, and develop their own personality quirks through your interactions.

No. Each character's private memories are completely isolated. Character A cannot access Character B's memories, preferences, or conversation history. Only shared "core memory" (like your name or timezone) is visible to all characters.
